Candied Pecans

1/2 C. granulated sugar                                                                                                                   2 T. balsamic vinegar                                                                                                                      1 lb. good pecan halves

Place sugar and vinegar in medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Warm just until sugar dissolves. Pour over pecans; stir until coated. Spread on a lightly oiled , parchment covered baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees 10-12 minutes. Cook on rack. Cook completely and store in an airtight container. Great for snacking, salads, or gift giving.
