1/2 lb. ground beef, browned and drained 2 C. water or stock (chicken or beef works) 3/4 C. celery 3/4 C. potatoes cut into small pieces 1/4 C. chopped onion 3/4 -1 C. shredded carrots 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp basil 1 bay leaf 1 med. can stewed tomatoes parmesan cheese
Combine first 10 ingredients and boil for 10 minutes. Then add stewed tomatoes and simmer 20 more minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parmesan cheese when serving. This is great with rolls of any kind!
