Beef and Broccoli

2 T. cornstarch

2 T. water

1/2 t. garlic powder

1 lb. round steak, cut into 3 in. strips

2 T. vegetable oil

4 C. broccoli florets

1 sm. onion

1/3 C. soy sauce

2 T. brown sugar

1 t. ground ginger

1 T. cornstarch

1.2 C. water

1. In a bowl, combine 2 T. cornstarch and 2 T. water and garlic powder. Add beef and toss.

2. In a large skillet, over med-high heat, stir fry beef in 1 T. oil to desired doneness. Remove and keep warm.

3. Stir fry broccoli and onion in remaining oil for 4-5 minutes. Return beef to pan.

4. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, 1 T. cornstarch and 1/2 C. water. Mix until smooth. Add to pan and cook & stir for 2 minutes. Serve over rice.
